The Plan

Q: How did you decide where to go?
We have a LONG list of places we would love to visit, so we sifted through the list to narrow it down to places we felt best fit our travel interests/lifestyle right now. Many stories, books, and travel blogs have certainly inspired us! We wanted to hit a few different continents, but we didn’t want to move too quickly. We really wanted an opportunity to get to know a few places and the people who live there. We are trying out a variety of accommodations and lengths of stay to see what works best for us. We are also trying to keep things somewhat flexible and allow for changes to the plan!

Q: WHERE are you going?
Recently, Will proposed that we just start responding to this question with, “Europe”. Of course, it’s not as though we aren’t excited or wanting to share about our travel plans, but we do get asked A LOT and as we’ve listed off country after country, we’ve started to feel like a broken record. That being said, THIS is the perfect place to list the places we’re planning to visit in the coming months!

July 1-25: Ontario
July 25-Aug 22: Uganda (staying 20 min outside Kampala, near Ggaba Beach)
Aug 22- Sept 1: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Sept 1-8 Kasane, Botswana
Sept 8-15: Livingstone, Zambia
Sept 15- October 11: Ethiopia (travelling around the country)
Oct 12- Nov ?: Nepal (Kathmandu, Pokhara; trekking in the Annapurna region)

This is as far as we’ve gone with booking in advance. As travellers who love to show up somewhere and explore, we couldn’t justify booking anything more just yet. However, we do have an idea of where we’d like to go from here, so we’re including that list too, even though it might change!

Nov-Dec: Southeast Asia (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam)
Jan: New Zealand
Feb: Argentina
March: Bolivia
April: Peru
May: Finland
June: Scotland
July: Greece
